5TH GRADERS HALLOWEEN PARTY 2011

On Friday, October 28, 2011, the college cafeteria hosted the Halloween fancy dress party. The protagonists were the 5th graders (VA and VB), who prepared a short performance as well as a lot of pumpkins decorated according to the tradition. Having their parents’ full support and guided by their teachers of English, the children participated in a costume parade and in some specific games, among which were Bobbing for applesand The Mummy. Members of the Peer Support Group from XII A, XI A, X C and E, VIII B led the games and were the jury for the Best Jack-o’-Lantern and the Best Costume contests. Prizes and certificates were awarded, and the dance and apple pies were of course a must. Part of the culture of Anglo-Saxon peoples, the Halloween holiday is both a pretext for the young ones to have fun, and an element that stimulates their desire to find out new things about other civilizations.

FIRST TIME EVER AT CNPR

As a first time in our county ,the English Department at CNPR will release the Moodle4 CNPR platform next week. Moodle is an e-learning platform, it is free and can be used by any school that wishes to modernize their methods of work. It is a virtual environment where teachers can post their teaching material and where students can post their homework which can be individual or collaborative. Of course it can be in any  electronic format.

For more info on moodle please access this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moodle

We will begin with classes 9E and  11 E in an experimental way for the month of March and hopefully the experiment will be successful so that in April we plan a presentation of what we managed to accomplish during the first month and we expect the rest of the school to join us shortly on Moodle4 CNPR. Also, other schools might follow our example as well.

WHY MOODLE?
Because we want to offer our students quality lessons in a modern environment,
Because we want to break the routine and improve our standards.
Because we want to teach attractive, motivating lessons.
Because we want our students to be able to  meet the standards of the most demanding universities in the world when they leave CNPR.
Because our students deserve high quality educational input and because we want them to enjoy their lessons.

Please access our Moodle4CNPR  platform on the right hand side of the main page navigation bar and enjoy.
